Chorizeta uses 100% plant fat (canola and palm) as a texturizer, which helps achieve that juiciness and natural sizzle you'd expect from chorizo. Being plant-based, it contains no cholesterol, and comes from responsibly sourced suppliers.
Made primarily with oyster mushrooms, a fungus naturally rich in fiber and beta-glucans, compounds associated with digestive well-being and cellular protection against oxidative stress. By adding a bit of soy, we reach a protein content comparable to a similar serving of traditional chorizo, but with a plant base that's light and nutritious.
Mushrooms can transform agro-industrial waste into food. Thanks to this, each 200 g pack of Chorizeta avoids about 0.25 kg of CO₂eq compared to traditional pork chorizo (1.23 kg per kilo, validated by Climate KIC under ISO 14040 and 14044 standards). Its production requires fewer resources, less energy, and less space than meat, offering a more sustainable alternative without sacrificing the flavor we love.

Chorizeta is a vegan, 100% plant-based chorizo made from oyster mushrooms, textured soy, and certified canola and palm plant fat. It keeps the flavor and texture of traditional chorizo, but without meat and without cholesterol.
No. Chorizeta contains no cholesterol because all its ingredients are plant-based. The fat comes from regenerative vegetable oils, not animal sources.
It's made primarily with oyster mushrooms (Pleurotus ostreatus), a fungus naturally rich in fiber and beta-glucans. Oyster mushrooms provide the meaty texture and umami flavor characteristic of Chorizeta.
Each 200 g pack of Chorizeta avoids about 0.25 kg of CO₂eq compared to traditional pork chorizo. Per kilo, the difference is 1.23 kg of CO₂eq. Figures validated by Climate KIC International Foundation under ISO 14040 and 14044 standards.
Chorizeta is produced in San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato. The mushrooms come from local farms within 30 km and the other ingredients are sourced from nearby suppliers in the Bajío to minimize transport emissions.
