Why mushrooms?

Good for you, good for the planet.

Superfood

A serving of mushrooms gives you fiber, protein, and vitamins. They make you feel lighter and don't leave that heaviness other foods do.

Gut health

Your gut feels the difference quickly. More fiber, more nutrients you actually digest, without the heaviness or grease other proteins leave behind.

Your food is your medicine

The oldest medicine in the world is on your plate. Mushrooms contain compounds that help your body regulate itself and stay in balance.

Sustainable food

The most efficient protein on the planet. Less land, less water. Eating them is one way of caring for your environment.

01 · The Farm

We grow in plain sight, no shortcuts.

There are no hidden labs here and no labels we can't understand. At our farm in San Miguel de Allende we grow oyster mushrooms and Lion's Mane by hand, in small batches and with substrates we return to the field.

Want to know how we do it? We invite you to see it with your own eyes. We run guided visits in small groups so you can watch your next dinner grow.

02 · The Experience

A fungivore afternoon.

On weekends we open the farm to a small group. We start with a tour through the cultivation rooms and then a guest chef prepares a menu with the mushrooms of the moment. After that you just have to linger. Good food, long sobremesa (that slow stretch after the meal), nobody rushing.

Limited spots · Advance booking · Every weekend, a different guest chef

Two ways to keep being a fungivore at home. Fresh mushrooms to cook your way, or our Chorizeta ready to use.

Frequently asked questions

What is Fungívora and what do you sell?

Fungívora is a specialty mushroom company building the fungal ecosystem in Latin America. We grow premium organic Lion's Mane, develop functional products and create educational experiences so that more people discover, trust and adopt mushrooms as part of a healthier, more sustainable food system.

Where do you deliver? Do you ship outside San Miguel?

We're in San Miguel de Allende and we make personal deliveries here and in Querétaro, and you can also find us at organic markets on some days of the week. We also offer shipping options through our website. Write to us on WhatsApp to find out about times, delivery points and home delivery areas.

How fresh do they arrive? How long do they keep?

We harvest every Wednesday, so we prefer to schedule deliveries the same day or at most four days later. Lion's Mane, stored properly and refrigerated, keeps well for up to seven days after that.

Can I visit the farm?

For now visits are limited: the only way to see the farm is through a private experience or a Fungí Asada that we host there. Further ahead we hope to open our doors almost every day.

How do I place an order?

You can order from our website or write to us directly on WhatsApp. The second option is ideal for recurring orders or ones larger than usual.

Do you grow the mushrooms yourselves?

Yes. We handle the entire growing process, which lets us adapt our processes and volumes to demand.

Do you sell to restaurants or wholesale?

Yes. If you have a food project and want to know about our wholesale services, write to us at hola@fungivora.com with the subject "MAYOREO" and you'll receive the relevant information.

Let's talk mushrooms.

Want us at your restaurant, market or kitchen? Write us. We're always talking mushrooms here.
